This essay concerns the hill forts in Halland. The hill forts in Halland haven?t been archaeologically examined and they haven?t been studied as well as hill forts in other parts of Sweden. The focus of this essay is to determine the use of the hill forts in Halland.  Comparative studies will be made between Halland?s hill forts and the hill forts of Bohuslän and the hill forts of the Eastern part of Sweden.The results of the research have yielded that the hill forts in Halland strongly reminiscent of the hill forts in Bohuslän when it comes to the positioning in the landscape, as well as the general appearance of the hill forts.

SammanfattningJag har analyserat fem debattartiklar, tre skrivna av Linda Skugge, författare och skribent i Expressen, och två av Sara Stridsberg, författare och frilansande journalist, i den så kallade ?bimbodebatten? som har pågått i flera år där kända kvinnor har kritiserats i media på grund av sitt ickerespektabla förhållningssätt till sig själv och sin kropp, exempelvis gällande utvik, silikoninlägg, klädstil osv. De texter jag har valt ut berör samtliga Linda Rosing, känd från dokusåpan Big Brother. Som en debatt mellan två personer förhåller sig texterna tydligt till varandra. This paper deals with hill-forts located on and directly south of Selaön, in the center of Mälardalen, Södermanland, dated to the late roman period and the migration period. Of special interest is differences and similarities between the forts when it comes to their morphology and the hills where they were built. Furthermore, their landscape has been examined and I have tried to put the hill-forts in relation to any iron age settlements..

The essay deals with the hill-fort on the mountain Halleberg, Sweden, its wall design, functionality, dating and its possible function as a central location and a place of worship of the ancestors.The Halleberg hill-fort consists of a 1500 meters long at times cohesive stonewalls which together blocked the mountain from its surroundings. Hallberg's natural vertical scree and cliffs along with the masonry blocked the whole mountain from the surroundings.The hill-forts, with few exceptions are largely not investigated archaeologically and its functionality and role in the ancient society is based on outdated research on the subject. The current archaeological interpretation is that hill-forts served as temporary defense in times of unrest or served as center of power for a social elite. The prevailing view in the archaeological sphere is that the hill-forts had a variety of functions and that its functionality and role in ancient society has varied.Halleberg´s strongest wall sections are at the mountain's south-eastern part where the natural driveway, Storgårdsklev is located. Along with the massive masonry of the walls in Bokedalen Storgårdsklev functioned as the hill-forts main entrance.

AbstractAim: The aim of the study is to analyze ten different columns written by Linda Skugge, in order to see what kind of rhetorical means she uses to get her message across. It is also to examine if, and to what extent, these means are of female nature, and to see what kind of persona Skugge uses in order to be trustworthy.Method: Rhetorical analysis of ten columns written by Linda SkuggeMain results: The study has shown that Skugge´s rhetorical strategies differ from the ones recommended in theories about female speech. Skugge writes with a lot of character and emotionally based arguments, which, according to the theories, is more of a male way of speaking. The goal of this paper is to examine whether the introduction of a qualifying day in the use of sick insurance in the Swedish welfare system resulted in an increase in the use of parental benefits as substitute to avoid the qualifying day. We believe that this could be the case because of the higher gain from the welfare system. We use OLS to perform a linear regression from a data set from the data base LINDA during 1991-1996. The results in this paper are that there is a significant increase in the parental benefit after the reform although there is a negative trend for parental benefit during the examined period..

Som teoretisk grund ligger Christian Norberg-Schulz arkitekturteori om genius loci, platsens själ. Verket i sig, konstnärens intentioner, platsen samt teorin redogörs för. Grunden för iakttagelser av plats och skulptur, samt deras samverkan, är upplevelseorienterad.

In my project I have collaborated with Linda Larson, who is the creator behind the fashion brand Elveel. The goal was to produce an identity and a graphic profile for Elveel. The aim was that the graphic profile would act as an extension of the clothes aesthetics. I wanted to explore if I by different folding and cutting techniques, in tags and packaging, could reflect the details of the clothes expression. But also how different design elements can reflect the story behind the clothes.

This paper deals with the question of when hill forts ? or enclosed mountains ? were built and to what purpose, by examining two enclosed mountains (RAÄ 78 and 79) in Grödinge parish in the province of Södermanland. A phosphate analysis was conducted to trace anthropogenic activities. The analysis showed only a slight elevation of phosphate content in the soil. A histogram indicated that the elevations were not normally distributed, which could suggest that they were caused by anthropogenic activities.

The Town was protected onshore by a hill fort and a town rampart. It is a widely spread assumption that Birka had a water palisade as a part of its defense. There are logs and other remnants on the bottom of the lake dating back to the Viking age.
